Utah Mountain Blue Bird

I hope to do more vector illustration in 2022. I want to design more animals, objects, people (yes.. even people. People are soooo hard to do). I want to push myself to create something as much as possible.

I've always fascinated on the idea of becoming an illustrator but struggled with mental hurdles. "Nope, I can't paint. Nope I suck at drawing, ...how am I supposed to illustrate anything..?" But as I've pushed myself, I've gotten a little better and better every time.

It's that doodling in your sketchbook that's really up-ed my game. I love doodling in my sketchbook. Maybe I'll upload a photo of the dozens of sketches I did before jumping into Figma to create this bird. I did dozens of sketches. I wanted to see if I could draw a good bird before I threw one together in Figma.

2022 + ✏️ = 🧠💪 more confident illustrator me.
