Gil Hodges

Gil Hodges was finally elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday. Hodges spent most of his 18-year MLB career with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers where he was an eight-time All-Star and a Gold Glove Award (first baseman) winner three consecutive seasons. As a manager, Hodges led the New York Mets to its first World Series title in 1969. In 1973, the Mets honored Hodges by retiring his uniform number 14. Now with Hodges finally being inducted this upcoming summer, it's time for the Dodgers to do the same.
