It has been such an honour to work for (and with) Nathaniel Drew to create his rebranding. Nathaniel’s projects are always related to how he explores life and learns new things, in search of meaning according to his “amor fati” clime. In philosophy the “search” theme is always pictured by light, and lantern in particular plays an important role (if you are interested you can read Diogenes’ story and his search for an honest man).
After collecting references on how to draw the hand (thank you to my boyfriend eheh ) and the stock photos and images of the classic camping lanterns on the internet, I created the design simplifying the shapes to allow the legibility of the flame and deleting everything related to the modern ones.
