Topophilia Brewing Co.

Topophilia - literally "a love of place".

According to wikipedia, it means "a strong sense of place, which often becomes mixed with the sense of cultural identity among certain people and a love of certain aspects of such a place." You should read the rest of the short wikipedia page - it's quite interesting.

I came across this term reading a book a few years ago. I wrote it down, and it's been in the back of my mind since then.

I thought it might make a cool brand name, but wasn't sure what to use it for. For some reason yesterday I started picturing a brewery with a patriotic theme, so I got to work building a brand.

And it had to be set in Philadelphia no doubt, both the city of brotherly love as well a city that played a pivotal role in the founding of the country.
