Sainsbury's Job Search X Funnelback
Here's a brief insight into a project I led UX on with Sainsbury's.
Sainsbury's approached Squiz with the intention to use one of the most popular products in our product suite, Funnelback.
Funnelback uses advanced machine learning to deliver personalised search results, and offers the ability to review search analytics via a rich, visual search analytics dashboard. The ability to capture and present this data offers Funnelback customers the opportunity to review key search information, provide data to drive digital improvements & data driven marketing, and pull consistent feedback in to drive business decisions.
I worked with the Sainsbury's digital team and an internal project team in simplifying the user experience within Sainsbury's job search platform. We projected and implemented a brand new search concierge that utilises the real estate of the user screen, and uses predictive search technology to assist the user in discovering what they are looking for. Within rounds of validation testing, over 70% of participants were afforded the opportunity to completely bypass landing on the SERP (search engine results page).
On top of this, we designed a brand new SERP with advanced filtering, and a 'No Results' page with chip filtering and search suggestions to drive value into every stepping stone.
Application of all components required total adherence to the Sainsbury's digital design system.
