Sebastião Rodrigues

Poster that includes symbols and graphic marks created by the designer Sebastião Rodrigues (1929-1997). This work is part of a personal project during which I vectorized around two hundred logos from portuguese designers. Emphasis was given to older, local brands, often neglected and forgotten by being replaced by newer graphic identities in line with the global trends.

The background image is an adaptation of a painting by James Murphy (1760-1814) fallen into the public domain, also used by Sebastião Rodrigues to promote the exhibit "O Mosteiro da Batalha e a Arquitectura em Portugal no Séc. XV".
