Gender diversity is an integral part of our existence. There is a shocking disconnect between the way the government and the media speak about gender non-­conforming people and the reality of their lives. This gap between representation and reality continues to get worse. As gender non-conforming people face heightened prejudice and harassment on the ground, more policies and public statements deriding them continue to be made.

My hope with this project is to highlight the ongoing discussions that are being made around gender diversity, and the people who continue to actively challenge the status quo through their activism, art, and words.
