Holodomor 1932-1933. Memorials

Ukraine in 1932–1933 experienced a terrible tragedy – the Holodomor, which took millions of lives. By means of an artificially created mass famine, the totalitarian regime wanted to destroy the Ukrainians in order to suppress the national liberation aspirations of the Ukrainian peasantry and prevent the construction of an independent Ukrainian state.
