Bookmark designs for print, for Tills a beautiful second hand bookshop next to the Meadows in Edinburgh.
After the initial designs, clients requested something that spoke to their location more, which were Edinburgh’s distinctive chimneys and the Meadows, one of Edinburgh’s favourite green spaces.
We decided that for a special touch, the logotype and contact info would be hand stamped on each bookmark, for the customer to take away drying in the leaves of their book.
Original textures were made using the printmaking method, trace monotype.
‘Tills’ logotype was designed by Ella Mclean, and the font used Bluu Next Bold, created by Jean-Baptiste Morizot and Julien Imbert - available at The Veletyne Type Foundry.
