Wake Up Hostel, Sydney Australia

While living abroad in Australia from 2017-2018 I spent a couple months at WakeUp hostel in rooms that slept 6-10 people with different schedules, nationalities, and hygiene habits. Every night at 7pm the room’s loudspeakers would announce the night’s theme at Side Bar; a bar connected to WakeUp. They’d start with “WAKE UP!” three times in row followed by the bar’s theme. All in all it was a great experience staying there. As much as I miss the traveler comradery, clothing exchanges and colorful accents - I’m so thankful to have my privacy back!
