Typewriter Typeface

Found an old Contessa 2 Deluxe typewriter at the attic and decided to recreate the typeface digitally. I'm especially excited about creating multiple weights for this. Old typewriters allow you to influence the weight by varying the pressure you apply to your keystrokes. More pressure means more ink being pressed from the ink ribbon to the page, which also results in more ink bleeding yielding a rounder typeface in heavier weights, which I will try to recreate digitally through interpolation.

The screenshot shows some of my first explorations of letter forms. Stay tuned for more.
