WhatsApp Redesign

As I'm someone who uses WhatsApp on a daily bases, I thought it would be pretty cool to do a quick redesign! The design decisions are based off my personal experiences with the app, and how I thought it could be improved.

Status - A lot of my contacts have been posting a lot more statuses lately, and I felt it was much more logical to have it at the center of the app as opposed to a separate page where it could be easy to miss a post.

Tab bar - There are some busy days where it could get overwhelming, receiving dozens of messages from different people and groups. I though it could be helpful to give the user the option to be able to sort through the two, which could lead to a much smoother and organized experience.

Post - Nothing crazy here! Just a more updated UI. Also I placed a reply area on the bottom, which is a common action after viewing a story, as opposed to having to click a button to get there. I also placed a forward option as well, as I sometimes would like to forward a status, but can't seem to find the option currently.
