California Republic

The most notable element of this logo is the red Lone Star of California, in tribute to the rebellion led by Juan Alvarado in 1836 when Alta California declared its independence from Mexico. The bottom portion of the star has been customized to outline a California grizzly bear, the official state animal, which portrays strength.
