The Mamluk Warrior
This original Painting comes from enamelled glasswork attributed to Cairo,Egypt in the late 13th century, the original glasswork is a part of the collection displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I have removed the horse-rider in action from among the figures represented on the glasswork and set it within architectural decorative motifs often found on building of the same period in Cairo.
