Logo design concept A for Blooming Heart Therapy.

Blooming Heart Therapy is an established psychotherapy practice owned and operated by Sarah Harwood. Sarah offers counselling services to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, as well as nurturing whole family units towards contentment.

Whilst a core demographic is teens and adults, Sarah also specialises in play therapy for children, and is in the process of starting a governing body for this service here in Australia (Queensland Institute of Play Therapy).

Our goal is to create a brand identity that is warm, fun and welcoming, appealing to a wide demographic, whilst communicating Sarah’s lighthearted approach to therapy, professionalism and experience.

This first concept plays on the name ‘blooming heart’ by using a heart icon at the centre of the symbol, and layers ‘blossoming’ outwards in the shape of people’s faces. These faces represent children and adults (Sarah’s patients) and a silhouette of Sarah as the outer layer. This modern and minimal style strikes a balance between being playful yet professional. The warm red/pink colour used represents blooming flowers (such as cherry blossom trees), as well as being associated with empathy, healing and the heart itself.
