Sweet Gwendoline French Gin
I started working on this project almost 4 years ago and haven’t been able to share anything about it so it feels really wild that this is finally out in the world. I mean… freaking Dita Von Teese is involved in this 🤯
I learned so much on this and we pulled out all the stops with fun printing extras (di-cuts/embossing/spot varnish). I built a custom typeface based on songcrafterJNL -an old display font with fun ligatures (thanks Alex Liebold for building this into a working font). Not to mention the hidden peep-hole on the back label which is really fun to explore in-person (the back of the front label has printing on it so you get a hidden show with multiple different variations - you'll have to buy extras). I also never designed a physical bottle before which was a neat experience. Based a lot of it on old perfume bottle shapes and couldn’t be happier with the end result.
Thanks to Larry McGearty for creating this brand/gin and Kevin Beyer for getting me involved and trusting me on the project.
