Aksel Desktop Landing Page

In the previous product development, we prioritized mobile-first design based on our majority user devices to speed up our product building phase. After the launch, we heard that some of our users don’t enjoy seeing mobile-view on desktop. So, for the next iteration, we tried to design a desktop version of our landing page.

92% of people trust recommendations from their peers.

Due to the large amount of empty space in the desktop layout, we decided to add an extra detail that we hope can increase page conversions by implementing social proof into our hero section on the Landing Page.

Social proof — a convenient shortcut that users take to determine how to behave. When they are unsure or when the situation is ambiguous, they are most likely to look and accept the actions of others as correct. The greater the number of people, the more appropriate the action seems.

By showing numbers of how many people have used our products, is expected to build trust and create a sense of urgency, because credibility is one of the most important elements in our products. It will remind potential customers that a large crowd is using your service — so it must be good enough for them. We also add some of our user’s name to make it more personal.
