In 1932, carpenter and joiner Ole Kirk Christiansen founded his business

in the Danish village of Billund. He makes ladders, ironing boards,

stools and wooden toys. His son Gottfried Kirk Christiansen started

working with him at the age of 12.

In 1934, Ole's company and its products were named

Lego - an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well".

Durak (card game) The goal of the game is to get rid of all the cards.

The player who fails to do this is recognized as a "Durak" (loser).
