FrontFlip Gift Interaction

I get a lot of use out of FrontFlip, but the app is horrendous...

One of my least favorite parts of the app is opening a gift. Currently the app covers the screen in what is supposed to look like wrapping paper and you have to wipe it all off - which takes forever and never works properly.

I wanted to keep the action more enjoyable and playful than just tapping an "open" button, but much faster than wiping the entire screen.

I made this interaction concept as part of a full redesign of the FrontFlip iOS app. I'll post more of it later.

Edit: I built this using Quartz Composer using origami. If I could do it over again I'd build it in Framer.js instead, but I had hardly used Framer when I made this a couple months ago and I was pretty familiar with QC
