Handover process for color system work

This is a shot from the handover file we created for dark mode. It was so cool to do inventory of all our components and assign them to the different color variables from the color system.

This particular component exemplifies how complicated it is to design components for software. Our merge box has dozens of variations and states.

One other thought is that handover is a huge part of the design systems work. It's interesting to think about it. If handover is done thoroughly at the design system level components and systems will be well developed. If components are well developed, design systems consumers won't have to worry about handover at all.
