Online Shop Sign Up | DailyUI 001

This is the sign up and sign in dialog for a concept online store iOS application. I made this for the DailyUI Challenge. If the user enters an email not registered they will be prompted for some extra information to create a new account (the email and password should already be filled in).

I find the design of many websites and apps frustrating since usually either sign in or sign up will be the default action and you have to hunt for a tiny link in order to perform the opposite action, if you perform the wrong action on the wrong prompt you'll have to go back and input the same information you have already provided.

To remove this frustration this design makes inputing the email and password the correct action whether the user wants to sign in or sign up. In case the user misspelled their email address it is clear that they are not signed in and that they are now creating a new account. They can still go back so they can fix they address of choose another sign in/up method.
