SAA Paper Type Poster
I had a blast working with SAA on their recruitment posters for the 2014-15 school year. They wished to emphasize the marriage of traditional and digital blending of design, so I opted for paper as the chosen medium. We strayed from traditional paper cutting by bending and placing strokes rather than taping and gluing to keep the letterforms delicate and fluid. We then placed various tech and analog props around the type to create a dynamic workspace.
On a more personal note, this project fell into my lap during a very stressful set of life events, and the staff of SAA was very understanding and compassionate. I was reminded that following our dreams is not always as glamorous, easy, or convenient as we'd like them to be. This project is a testimony to the possibilities that lie on the other side of struggle. Enjoy!
