Jewelry Store

Total Area: 618.8 Square feet

Location: Dolmen mall, Clifton, Karachi, Pakistan.

Concept: This was my first Commercial design project. Coming up with a concept for this project in my second year proved to be a bit difficult because I had never really liked jewellery at the time and it seemed as though I couldn't really connect with anything. After extensive research I stumbled upon multiple online jewellery stores that sold beautiful vintage and antique jewellery and decided to experiment with it since i started developing interest as well.Hence the design for this store was influenced from antique jewellery inspired from Victorian era and Art Deco time period. I carefully chose certain elements from each time period in a way that they would not collide and would come together in a cohesive manner.I first began by designing the flooring based on Art Deco design and decided to use the same pattern for the store layout and zoning as well. The walls consists of Victorian pattern wallpaper. Velvet was used for the upholstery to give a more luxurious feel to the store. Marble with stainless gold metal inlays were used.
