Holy Week Good Friday | Trial and Execution
Trial and execution
Jesus is betrayed by a friend, arrested, beaten, and unfairly tried by high priests and leaders. Pilate, a governor, asks him,
“Are you king of the Jews?”
“My kingdom is not of this world.”
Ultimately, all of these trials lead to one final verdict.
Death.
Jesus is mocked, scourged, beaten, given a crown of thorns, spat at, cursed, taken to Golgotha, the place of the skull, and crucified on a cross.
