Smart Security - iOS App Redesign | Ajax Systems

Smart home security systems it's always about innovations and up-to-date solutions. Unfortunately, most of the security providers are pretty old-fashioned, but it's not about Ajax Systems.

The business task was to define why users buy mostly StarterKits and avoid any further updates, despite the fact they're satisfied with Ajax product quality. The second thing we needed to prepare the ground for is the smart home functionality: client wasn't sure that current customers are really interested in it.

The design team and I conducted research to find users' pain points, needs, goals and expectations. One of the decisions was to conduct the set of in-depth interviews with current Ajax users and potential ones, who took different home security services at that moment.

The insights were incredible! One of them - the fact users face enormous problems with signalization management, and it should be much handier. We also came up with the "Scenarios" functionality, within user can make both quick and long adjustable flows, but easier and more efficiently, than Apple Home does.
