Design is as little design as possible.

As I continue to grow as a designer and study the great designers that came before me, I'm finding that restraint can be more beautiful than adding distress and texture. The more that I take away, the more universal my design becomes.

My favorite of Dieter Rams' 10 principles for good design is this: "Good design is as little design as possible." Less, but better.
