I was approached by a chef who wanted to rethink the way that food cost, wastage, stocktake and suppliers were calculated and managed. Generally, in the industry, chefs will use spreadsheets. With his vision in mind, I designed a system which would let chefs add their ingredients, recipes, suppliers and manage stocktake. The system automatically calculates your food cost, taking wastage and other complicated variables into account making it the perfect chef's companion tool.
