Prototyping E-commerce Practices

The eCommerce sector has had a major expansion in the last couple of years, in terms of the amount of people buying and selling on eCommerce platforms and the types of products that they offer. Therefore, we had to figure out a good set of practices that could be applied when making an eCommerce platform. The one we deemed extremely important was prototyping and testing. The process of making a project flowed more easily when we made a lot of iterations and took the best pieces out of each one, ultimately creating the best possible version of a project. Another increasingly important practice is making a mobile version alongside a desktop version of an eCommerce platform, as more and more people browse and purchase goods on the internet using their phones. One key factor is to translate the same user experience from the desktop to the mobile version.
