Cover for a non-fiction book.

This design was for an online contest for cover designing. It was a challenge for me to come up with something unique because the contest holder had given very precise directions about the design. While this makes the work easier, it sometimes can cause a little restraint to your creativity. However, I took the challenge and created an elegant and simple design for the book. the book is about how you can change your thinking to change the perception of the world around you.

There was a certain direction for the design to be very simple and thematic of sound waves. I tried to incorporate the Doppler effect into the design by varying the weight of the letters. The color 'oxford blue' was given as a primary in the palette and the image of the author was also provided.
