Living and breathing this transness comes with an additional task of needing to constantly remind myself, that I am not ugly. We are raised to perceive rejection as absolute, as a verdict upon our desirability. Yet no one tells us, that its parameters are built for a predominantly cishet world— which was never our reality to begin with.
