Apple Catalog Concept

This is the Apple Catalog Concept. It was a school project and we were challenged to pick a company and create a catalog for their products. I chose Apple because they are the leader when it comes to design. I wanted the design to feel like it was made from Apple. I studied their style guides and tried to replicate their theme throughout the design.

Step 1 — Research

The purpose of this project was to create a catalog for a company. We had full creative freedom. I chose Apple because they are the leader when it comes to UX Design. I wanted people to see my prototype and think Apple made it.

Step 2 — Sketches

Starting off, I created sketches and researched what Apple is doing currently with their designs. I was already familiar with their style but this project really highlighted how they design. I wanted to show the most important information on this catalog.

Step 3 — Wireframes

I started testing what layouts I wanted and the content it would fill. I wanted a simple design. I built it around college students browsing Apple products, but this design can easily apply to anyone interested in Apple products. Good UX has the users at the center of the design.

Step 4 — Surface Comps

After finding the right layout for this project, I started adding content into the project and adjusting it as I went. I continually referred to Apple for how they would show off their content. I tested the surface comps with users to see their thoughts and opinions.

Step 5 — Revisions

Throughout this whole process I would test different options and layouts with the user in mind to make sure they were getting the content in fast and pleasant manner.

Final Submission —

After all the research, wireframes, revisions, and testing I came to this final submission. I was very happy with how it turned out. It resembles what Apple would make and it showcases their products like they do. I showed it to a lot of test subjects and they were pleased with the catalog and thought that it resembled Apple's style. If I had more time, then I would add more pages and options to the catalog. I want to build a bag page that shows what you've added to your bag as you're getting ready to purchase the products. Thank you for reading through this project's documentation! Enjoy!
