PAINTINGS, a movie

This is a poster I made for an imaginary called "Paintings" as a Photoshop assignment submission.

The poster aims at bringing together various detailed from famous artworks - both iconic masterpieces held at the apogee of Academism and genius compositions that have claimed a foothold in mass cultures.

In this poster, I experimented with layout, lights and the various connections that completely unrelated works can evoke in their juxtaposition. The two favorite pieces I have included in this piece of collage-work are "The Embarkation of the Queen of Sheba" (Claude Lorrain, 1648) and "The Harvesters" (Pieter Bruegel, 1565.)
