a play on the legendary monospaced slab serif typeface named «Courier New,» produced for electronic use by Monotype type foundry, as a variant of Howard Kettler’s «Courier,» which was initially created for IBM’s typewriters in 1956, reappropriated to include the word «New Normal,» a signifier of the current pandemic times.
