Mighty Max Mini-Books

A little bit ago I started work on this project with a small start-up in Davenport, IA called Rufbooks. They're dedicated to making sketchbooks that are built tougher than the normal kind you buy at your average retailer, while still staying green. The project was creating a line of more inexpensive, pocket-sized books, using recycled materials from building the original Rufbooks and other sources along with the packaging for three sizes, including this one and the original books as well as branding the company and designing display set-ups.

I used reclaimed illustrations and photos from old books and newspapers for the covers to make the books more interesting than blank cardboard, and created a little retro character for each size packages wrapping band. Full photos are attached.
