Barbados - independence arch

Bang in city centre and overlooking a gorgeous marina, it was built in 1987 to mark Barbados' 21st anniversary of Independence.

There's lots of culture to absorb nearby and the arch itself is engraved with aspects of Barbadian heritage and culture including the flying fish, pelican, Pride of Barbados flower and island's Coat of Arms.
