Tony, owner of 27THREE Boulangerie believes that the greatest tasting breads and pastries are created when they are handmade out of the best ingredients, baked earlier in the morning and let rise naturally over several days. The challenge is to present his traditional approach in a way that will appeal to the modern Inner West of Sydney demographic.

Together, we set out to modernize the way baking was done traditionally, by hand with care and joy. Black was used to represent Tony's work ethic as he made slow baked goods through the long hours of the night. Yellow was used to reflect the community of Petersham, a fast growing inner-west suburb with a vibrant and creative energy. Through a range of hand drawn illustrations and bright bold statements, we helped build a strong identity system that visually evokes the joy of consuming honest food.
