Pottsville

I finally made a little time for myself to go on a road trip with a mate in search of some uncrowded waves. Turns out we didn't need to drive too far. Because we fit in a late arvo session at Black Rock we had no option but to find a spot to camp in the dark. Discovering our tent had no cover, we decided to ditch it and sleep under the stars on the beach during the coldest night in 700 years. This photo was taken peering through the smallest of slits in my sleeping bag as the sun encroached the horizon. It was a welcoming revisit to what I love to do. Surfed for 5hrs straight that morn with a man cold and was the happiest man alive.
