Daily UI 007: Settings | Accessibility Settings in a Workout App
Recently I've been learning about accessibility in design, and that inspired my work for day 7.
After reading Sheri Byrne-Haber's Medium piece (linked below), I wanted to try creating accessibility settings for a workout app, and so I did a bit of research into accessible features on the iPhone and also user requests for accessibility features in FitBit.
From researching the community forums, I found several posts asking for features to help people with vision disabilities navigate the app, so I made sure to add those to my settings.
I also added a quick explanation to help users understand each setting and its functions.
Given the opportunity to expand on this project, I would research other elements to increase this app's accessibility, such as features for people with motor disabilities.
I played with some different colors, tried out some new productivity plugins in XD, and learned a lot about accessibility.
