One of the values I hold to myself and my work is environmentalism. I've been car-free and cycling to and from the office for many years now.
The goal of this piece is to amplify a conversation and push folks to vote for change. For too long, fossil fuel companies have put the blame on individuals and the choices/purchases they make. But truthfully, not everyone has the ability to make consumer changes. The most vulnerable and least responsible are feeling the true effects of climate change.
We are in need of bold, far-reaching change from the top down. We need to consider how much impact our vote has (not only locally) across the globe when voting for politicians that can enact the change we so desperately need.
