72 Lubalin

As regular visitor of the great Lubalin Center, and long fan of Herb Lubalin, few weeks ago, I have re-created the artwork of this famous piece by Herb Lubalin for a birthday card of a friend born in 72. A truly good excuse.

ps. text isn't set in Avant Garde that I don't have, and don't follow the original on its position to works better in smaller size.

Update 11 july 2014: I have donated the outlines to Lubalin Center, here after the reply:
"This is fantastic! I love it. Beautifully made. I actually prefer the fact that it's not set in AG, this face seems better suited. It will proudly be added to our collection."
