Stagecast - Design System

🤔 What is a Design System?

Design System is a collection of ready-made components which are build in a modular way. The interface elements, which the components are build of can be reused in the product over and over again. This allows product design teams to speed up their design process and help developers implement the components faster and more cost efficient, while the brand stays visually consistent.

⌛ Why did we spent time crafting a design system for our company?

After 2 years of proofing the business concept of our product on the market it was about time to take on the next step which was creating a consistent design system throughout the whole Stagecast platform.

For us, the user experience has always come first. That is why it was particularly important to us to prioritize the feedback that we have collected over the last 2 years and to include it in our design process. This feedback gave us the confidence that the direction we want to develop our product further and the time and resources we will spend on crafting a scalable design system will be worth it.

The graphic elements were created in close collaboration with the tech team. It was our concern to find a scalable design concept that is technically easy to maintain and at the same time offering us the opportunity to develop new modules quickly.

🙌 Who in the team can make use of the design elements?

The components of the Stagecast design system are not only valuable for the product designer or the developer, but also for sales or business team. It is important that the brand stays visually consistent throughout keynote presentations, newsletter templates and business cards. The design system is accessible for everyone of the company and is helping to make everyones work a little bit easier.
