Congreso 2017 Gala Latina: Quito

For the 2017 Congreso Gala Latina, themed around Quito, I wanted to use the stained glass of the city’s famous cathedrals as our main piece of inspiration—but to give it a twist, I also wanted to try and make the look of the stained glass modern. This also worked well with additional inspiration from traditional South American textile art, which uses repetitive geometric forms to create larger patterns.

This invitation suite won a 2019 AIGA Philadelphia Design Award.
