Rook Routes

In a weird way this is probably my favourite piece of them all - the Rook. However, I am a very inexperienced player, so dont believe a word I say of its worth.

The rook moves (and kills) horizontally or vertically, as far as it can, until meeting the end of the board or an opponent. It's like a battering ram barreling down the lines or threatening to do so and projecting power. The bishop feels a little more precise, a little more refined. The rook just takes off in a straight line until it hits s o m e t h i n g. Not to mention you can use it to castle - a special move to move the king to a safer situation.
