#009 - (Mi band 5) Music Player
The dailyUI challenge #009 has "Music Player" as a theme, so I redesigned the music player app on the mighty Mi band I love π€ (this is the 5th generation).
I have chosen to focus on gesture-based functions, and my own means of music consumption. I use the like/dislike button a lot to organise my library, and would love to have quick access to lyrics (and lyrics analysis π).
The only physical button of the Mi band 5 is now turned into a like button for a super quick access, but breaking the click to exit pattern ( also, you will see I used all other gestures so that you can never escape your playlist π )
I wanted to avoid classic navigation buttons and replace it with gesture/tap, to keep space for the album cover and song title.
Standard single/double/triple tap and swipe patterns are integrated. Tap with two fingers to get lyrics, swipe up and down to adjust volume. the idea here was to comply (and adapt) with different standard user pattern :
- The single/double/triple tap is the same as modern headphones and earbuds. - The swipe left/right on the album cover comes from streaming app and feel natural.
Both seems better than an icon to tap, as you can do them anywhere on the screen π.
Also, there is a gesture based music selector ( a customizable BPM filter ). Of course this mood selector gets deactivated after your selection, so that you can move, run, and dance !
Vibrations can also be used to reproduce bass. This would drain the battery in minutes but hey it's just a dream to see one day mini version of devices like the Sicpac backpack or haptic vests π€.
Can't wait for next Mi bands !
