TimberGrit — 30 Vector Wood Grain Textures
TimberGrit is a collection of high-resolution vector textures made from 15 photographs of wood grains in Marfa, Texas. The kit comes with both a positive and negative of each wood grain — for a total of 30 textures in both Illustrator .AI and .EPS file formats (60 files in total).
Ranging from distressed to clean, the wood samples were captured at varying levels of zoom — some are detail shots while others are multiple boards shot from higher up. I captured different types of wood (pine, oak, walnut) to allow for a variety of grain types in the photographs. The wood textures were then carefully edited as high-contrast black and white images in order to convert them into high-quality vectors.
Each high-res vector wood grain texture is approximately 2500 pixels by 3800 pixels in size (which is 36” by 54”), and can be easily scaled up or down to fit the needs of your design project. The pack contains a mix of vertical and horizontal textures.
These textures are ideal for us in poster designs, spot illustrations, fine art prints, identity systems, pattern creation, web backgrounds and much more.
