Jim Jones' Custom BMX

A closer look at my latest post for idrawyourbike.com. A custom BMX, built and ridden by a friend of mine, Jim Jones.

One thing that's subtle, but I wanted to point out is the discoloration in the steel where the frame is welded. I found a way to replicate that by dabbing orange and blue marker together before filling it with the light gray. It's not such a big deal, I guess, but I really wanted that detail to come through in the illustration so I was happy to find a solution.
