Island portrait

Self portrait inspired by Neil Gaiman's "Art Matters". In it he uses messages in bottles as a metaphor for creatives putting their art out into the world. It might take a while but eventually someone will find your bottle and appreciate it. I think about this passage every time I find myself feeling discouraged. Someday someone will find one of my bottles, in the mean time I just need to keep sending them out there.
