Limeys & Krauts

Limeys and Krauts is a small startup company from Berlin that sells high-quality juice made from a variety of fruits in small 50 ml bottles. The company name is derived from historical seafaring. After vitamin deficiency was recognized as the cause of scurvy, the Germans fought vitamin C deficiency on the high seas with sauerkraut, the British with limes. Since then the British have been known as 'Limeys' and the Germans as 'Krauts'. The brand picks up on these historical stories and takes customers into a mystical, adventurous world.
I tried to combine the two themes 'seafaring' and 'drinks' in one logo.
