Transforming brick and mortar for the “Human Age”
PROJECT BRIEF
Manpower is a forward-thinking company. They understood that the world was going virtual way before competitors and wanted to lead the way. The old culture of paternalism and loyalty that once characterized the employment relationship has given way to a more detached, more transient workforce. Manpower asked me to develop a digital strategy that would put them ahead of these coming global changes.
ROLE
My role as a digital strategist and UX lead on the project helped manpower divest itself of expensive brick and mortar office and move to a 100% digital platform by 2022. I was responsible for all research, overall digital strategy, UX design, and UI screens.
METHODOLOGY
This was a major digital transformation effort. My key objective when moving from brick and mortar to digital is mitigating the risk of brand or revenue erosion due to the impact of disruptive change. Dozens of design thinking sessions, many stakeholder and candidate interviews, deep secondary and primary quantitative and qualitative research were involved. Over 100 separate documents were delivered, including detailed process maps, personas, journeys, and wireframes plus 3 years financial projections and project cost timeline, and expected ROI.
