To help accelerate physicians' workflows while on the go, we've enabled a drawer which allows them to view today's appointments directly from the home screen. The drawer can be expanded and collapsed easily according to the user's preference and remembers the last state from session to session. Since introducing this new entry point, we've noticed that 15% of clicks to the patient chart now come from the home screen appointments drawer, a good signal that this UI has successfully facilitated workflow for a solid percentage of users.
